About Sustainable Modular Management

Sustainable Modular Management, Inc. (SMM) is a woman-owned, Small Business provider of Modular Buildings. SMM has over 35 years experience designing and building commercial modular buildings. We pre-fabricate three dimensional modular sections at our manufacturing facilities, in a controlled environment, near the project site and then deliver and erect these sections. We offer a fast, cost effective and sustainable approach to providing commercial office, educational, medical and governmental buildings.

Fast

In many cases, we can provide a completed structure within 30 to 60 days. Many elements are pre-engineered, therefore, design time is significantly reduced as well.

Cost Effective

SMM combines the advantages of efficient pre-fabricated construction with innovative financial options (operating and capital lease programs) to provide our customers with a high value, cost-effective way to meet their facility requirements.

Sustainable

Modular construction is an inherently more sustainable construction approach. SMM buildings are designed to exceed energy efficiency standards (ASHRE 90.1-2004 energy code requirements). “Building Envelope” is completely insulated and high efficiency HVAC systems, Insulated Doors and Windows (Low-E), Low VOC Paints, etc. are utilized. SMM is able to obtain LEED Certification for its portion of work, where applicable.

We offer modular buildings for temporary, interim and permanent requirements. Examples include:

  • Temporary: “Swing Space” to temporarily house personnel while a customer’s existing facility is being renovated or repaired.
  • Interim: Classroom Buildings for special Corporate Training or for short term enrollment spikes.
  • Permanent: Faster alternative construction technique to conventional construction for permanent construction requirements. Buildings are single and multi-story.
